I wasn't one of those little girls who played dress up in her mom's lipstick and pearls. Growing up, I never really wore makeup. I don't know where my love for makeup actually came from, but I do know when our love affair began. As a gift for my highschool graduation, I received a huge box of Bobbi Brown makeup. I took one look, and I was hooked. I brought it with me to Ohio University where I majored in Commercial Photography. I found a way to incorporate makeup into every photo shoot. I took my photo internship at a studio in Orlando, FL where I ended up interning with the makeup artist instead of the photographer. It was there that I realized that "makeup" is a real job, and I couldn't wait to get started! After college graduation, I moved home to Boston. I spent a year and a half working for Bobbi Brown learning the basics involved in creating a clean, natural, fresh-face. New York City was next. I moved with dreams of becoming a makeup artist to the stars. After a week, I realized I would need more than just a dream. I began working for MAC in SoHo where I was blown away by the talented group of artists. My creative side thrived in the year and a half during which I worked side by side the SoHo team, and I felt ready to go out on my own. Working as a freelance makeup artist has been such a positive experience. I am an extremely motivated and outgoing individual, and meeting new and talented people each day is the greatest part of my job. I have a good work ethic, and I am a true team player. Currently, I work in NYC doing makeup for print, TV, and runway. I am always looking for new and exciting projects, and I am ready, willing, and able to go where ever the world of makeup takes me!
